October and November 2017

  • We will see a cool-down in late October and into November. The Great Lakes regions and areas of higher elevation will see the most significant drop in temperatures out of all of the East Coast and Atlantic regions, with a possibility of snow flakes.
  • The East Coast may then see a slight warmup in mid November. Chances of snow will be low.
  • In the last 10 days of November, temperatures will begin to drop again to low or slightly below normal, with the coolest temperatures centered over the Midwest and Great Lakes region.
  • The end of November will see an active storm track from the Corn Belt into Upstate New York, which may result in some snowfall from Buffalo to Chicago.
  • The I-95 corridor in the Mid-Atlantic is unlikely to see much, if any, snow on the Southern side of the storm track.
