Snow and Ice Management Company Ranks #6 in SNOW Magazine’s 2016 Top 100 Snow Contractors

Snow Magazine received a record number of submissions from the snow and ice management industry for this year’s Top 100 list. Here’s a little background on how Snow Magazine conducted the process of collecting the 2016 Top 100 data.
This year, as early as mid-March, notices began going out to last year’s Top 100 companies to begin compiling their total winter revenue and to head to their online form to submit their numbers. At the same time, Snow Magazine broadcast to the rest of the snow and ice management community to total and submit their winter revenue figures. At the time, companies had the option of requesting a follow-up inquiry to check if the winter revenue figures had changed following initial submission.
This process remained open until July 4. At the conclusion of the submission process the numbers were confirmed, tallied and ranked.
Snow and Ice Management Company (SIMCO) moved to the #6 position in 2016, up from last year’s #7 ranking. “We’ve been aggressively climbing the Top 100 list over the past several years,” says Chuck Lantzman, SIMCO President. “When you realize we started in Pittsburgh and grew our service footprint to 7 states, over a handful of years, I’m really proud of our network of loyal and productive service providers. Our partners are reliable, seasoned snowfighters that uphold and protect the integrity of our company by consistently providing the best service possible. Because of this, our renewal rate is high and we look forward to next year’s Top 100 Snow Contractors where we hopefully will continue our climb up the list.”
Top 100 companies were honored during a special awards dinner at this year's Executive Summit, held in early August in Fort Myers, Fla.
